St. Patrick Day 2017 Recap

This St. Patrick's Day I was staying at my boyfriend's house for a few days. On St. Patrick's Day, he goes drinking with his group of friends mostly beginning at 8am (I know, crazy right? I'm still sleeping at 8am). He woke up, went to breakfast with friends and then went to the bar.  I on the other hand woke up around 11am,got ready(of course,I wore a green shirt) and then texted him around 2pm saying that I was ready to go so he came ad grabbed me and we went back to the bar where his friends were. His friends after a while left and the people who were left were: my boyfriend, his 2 cousins,  his cousin's husband and myself. 

We then left bars, but not before we stopped at his cousin and her husband's house. We lyfted to a different bar which had a wait so we went to a different bar down the street. At that time, my boyfriend's cousin met up with us and also her date as well.  We stayed at that bar for a few hours and then decided to leave. We again used Lyft (as we are safe people).  We ended up at a bar close to my boyfriend's house. It was packed (obviously since it was St. Patrick's Day) so we all (6 of us) sat packed in a booth. We were there for awhile until my boyfriend, his cousin, her date and myself went back to my boyfriend (and cousin's house). Again, we were safe and requested a lyft. When we got back to the house, we all hung out and drank wine ( it was really fun socializing with them). After awhile, we all went to bed.

Some things you might be wondering is what did I drink. Well, I ordered water since I'm more of a wine person than a beer person but I did try some of my boyfriend's beer.  Second, did they all get their cars? In the morning my boyfriend urbered to his car and later that afternoon, we drove his cousin and her date to where their cars were. With it being my first St. Patrick's Day out,I had a fun time!

Teachers YouTubers

Hey guys,

I know I recently just posted about YouTubers but I wanted to mainly focus on this post specifically on teachers who has a YouTube channel and show us how their lives are as a teacher, their tips, and etc. for those who are or are wanting to go into the education field. I really like watching these channels as I'm currently going for my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Development so even though they might teach higher grades, they still give great tips and advice.

A Classroom Diva (YouTube Channel): Jessica is a third grade teacher. From what I have seen from her channel is that she is a great teacher and she really cares for her students. She share tips, hauls,tags, vlogs and more.  She has a blog , Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram. You should really check out her social medias and follow her!

The Lettered Classroom (YouTube Channel): Bridget is a 4th Grade ELA Teacher in Pennsylvania. Same as Jessica above, I can see how much she is dedicated to her students. She also have 2 boys of her own. On her channel, she posts DITLS (of a teacher),Vlogs, Q and A's, tips and more. You should really check out her other social media sites; Instagram, Facebook,  Teacher Pay Teacher(TPT),Bloglovin and Blog and Store.

Pocketful of Primary (YouTube Channel): Michelle is a 2nd grade teacher from Maryland. She is also a very dedicated teacher, She posts hauls,Giveaways,  Q and A's and also has some great tips. She also has other social media sites; Instagram, Facebook page, Pinterest, Blog and Teacher Pay Teacher (TPT).

Toocoolformiddleschool blog (YouTube Channel): Megan is a middle school teacher and she teaches History and English.  She was the leader for the drama club and now is the leader of the human rights club.  She has a really adorable son, Jenson! You should check out her other social media sites. They are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter,and Teacher Pay Teacher (TPT).

Again, if you are going into or looking into going into the education field, you should definitely check out their ladies YouTube Channels and other social media accounts.

Online Dating

Hey guys,

The topic of online dating is a very controversial to some people. For me, the way that I was introduced to the topic of online dating was one day one of my brothers was like "Why don't you try online dating?" I was like "Why not?"  I remember being on the site since like 6 in the morning sending messages, responding to messages and blocking people. I don't remember exactly how long, I met the first guy (my first boyfriend). We were together for I want to say less then 2 months and then he tried to pull something which I didn't want at that time, and he ended things through a text. He told his family this fake story and then I told them the real story and all they did was make excuses for him. 

The next guy I was with was because of a mutual friend and we were together for almost 3 year (actually engaged) but then he suddenly said that his feelings changed and ended the relationship. I then started talking to a guy on Facebook that I used to talk to on the dating site and we were together almost 2 months until I decided to end things. He was adding girls on Facebook that looked like porn stars and in the end I realized that all he was after was sex. I told him how I was feeling but he didn't care.

The next boyfriend that I had things ended the best. We ere together for about 2 months when we mutually ended things. Mutual breakups are the best way to go if that is possible. We both knew that we would be better off just as friends. So, my next ex was a jerk (actually all of my exes have been jerks except for one). We were together for not even 2 weeks and then I noticed on Facebook that he changed my nickname,so I asked him and he said something like "I need to work on me. You wouldn't understand".

My last ex was a major jerkface (that is me being polite as possible). I moved in with him very quickly on but we had some personal circumstances at the time. December would have been our 4 month, but he decided to make this fake story up about how he got a new job like 8 hours away and they wanted to see how everything went before I moved as well. So, one day, I moved back in with my mom, and since that night I have never talked to hi again. He ditched me at my mom's. I tried texting ,emailing and calling him. He blocked me and my family on Facebook. I found out through a friend that had assess to his Facebook that there were pictures of him with another girl and that he was cheating on me even before I moved back in with my mom. He probably thought "Crap, I need to get rid of Amanda somehow and ditch her somewhere."

I met my boyfriend through one of the online dating sites and I'm really happy. He's really amazing. We actually just had our 1 month together. I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. He ended up breaking up with me though text.

If you're on online dating sites, please be careful as there are some strange people out there. And if you don't feel safe on a date, call/text someone to come get you or leave.

(Now ex) Boyfriend Tag

Hey guys,

March 4th is my mine and my boyfriend's one month. We had been talking for a few weeks beforehand. So I thought it would be fun to do the boyfriend tag. It is normally done with both the bf and gf answering for the other but I'm just going to do it from my perspective. 


Where did we meet ?  We met online

Where was our first date ? Movies and Logans for dinner.

What was my first impression of him? That someone as amazing as him wanted to be by me and didn't leave right after seeing me.

 When did you meet the family ? I have met his mom and 3 of his cousins.

Weird habit of each other ? Umm..he snores and talks in his sleep but not sure if it's a weird habit because a lot of people do those things.

How long have we been together ?  Today will mark one month.

Do we have any traditions ? Not yet.I mean we have hung out every weekend since shortly after we met together.

First thing I noticed about him? When we first met,I noticed his height.

What pisses her/him off ?  Not me :)  To be honest,I haven't seen him mad before so I'm not sure.

What do we argue about the most ? We don't argue :)

Who wears the pants in the relationship ? Hmm... I'll say he does.

 Does he have any weird obsessions ? Not that I can think of.

If he's watching TV, what is he watching ? Whatever he's watching on Netflix. Black Mirror, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, etc.

What is one talent that he has ? He knows more than English.

 His favorite kind of music ? Rock and metal

What can he spend hours doing ?  Hang out with me and play video games.

His favorite kind of sandwich ?  Pb and jelly.

Something that he does that I wish he didn't ? I can't think of anything besides snore but I just tickle him and he stops.

What is one food that he does not like ? Pickles

His favorite food ? Pizza

Favorite YouTubers Pt. 1

Hey guys,

If you're like me, you watch YouTube channels and have a list of your favorite YouTubers. My favorite YouTubers are not included in the same niches. They consists of all different types of vlogs and that's what makes them unique. People might go on YouTube and watch videos because they are bored and need something to do, but with me watching YouTubers makes me happy because I try to watch their vlogs everyday (that is if they daily vlog). You should check out the YouTubers below if you're in the hunt for new YouTubers to watch.

Kathryn Ann (YouTube Channel) Kathryn is a great YouTuber and you can definitely see how much she strives for her goals. She is a nursing student and you can see through her videos how much she puts into studying. In my opinion, I think she'll be a great nurse because I can sense though her videos that she's a nice ,caring, kind and compassionate person. She's currently engaged to her fiance, Ty. They make a cute couple, and her dog,Mila, is adorable.

AlyssaAllDay (YouTube Channel): Alyssa has a YouTube channel with her husband, Charlie and their two cute little daughters,Delilah and Winter. Alyssa is a full-time nursing student and Charlie is in a band. Something that they talk about in their vlogs is that their daughter Delilah, has Chiari Malformation Type 1.5 and Syringomyelia.  Even though they have tough days, they are a strong family and Delilah is a very strong little girl.  Alyssa also has YouTube channel called Alyssa Presley.

Nat and Wes (and the Rest!) (YouTube Channel): This family is adorable.  Natalie and Weston are a cute couple who has two adorable twin boys, named Liam and Judah. They are expecting a little baby girl early April. Natalie has her own channel at Natalie Bennett.

Jess and Gabriel (YouTube Channel):  Gabe and Jess are a recently newly married couple, and they make a cute couple They are actually new parents... to a little puppy named Milo. One thing that they love is coffee.

Tannerites (YouTube Channel): The Tannerites are a family vloggers.  The parents are Johnny and Sarah. Their kids are Branson, Allie, Daniell ,Savannah, Lizzy,  Az and  Canyon . Johnny and Sarah are awesome parents,in my opinion. Branson is actually going France on a Mission. Sarah in my opinion is such a strong person. She has beat Cancer!!!

Austin & Jess Vlogs ( YouTube Channel): Austin and Jess are also a newly married couple. They have two cute dogs,Stella, and Maple. They are a good channel to watch if you need some cheering up.

Blogger Spotlight: Modern Little Victories

My next blogger spotlight is with Sara from Texas. Her blog is called "Modern Little Victories". You should definitely check out her blog here. She posts about cooking, travel, books and much more.

Q: What made you decide to begin blogging?
A: I love to cook, read, write, and create and I just always felt like blogging would be the perfect outlet for me. I knew I could put all my of those to use with a blog and so I figured why not give it a go. 

Q: What do you blog about?
A: I write a lifestyle blog that focuses mostly around food. Vegetarian and vegan friendly food for the most part. I also have a good mix of entertainment reviews, things I love, musings on life and even some travel stuff! 

Q: What advice would you give to someone who is just beginning their blog?
A:  The best advice I can give is spend a little bit of time reading about blogging. Find posts that other bloggers have written and educate yourself on everything you need to know about blogging!

Q: What’s the meaning behind your blog name?
A: There's actually a Matt Nathanson song called Little Victories that has always resonated with me. It's about learning to get by on the little things and celebrating that and that's what I want my blog to be about!

Q: What’s one thing that you want your subscribers to know?
A: One thing I'd like my subscribers to know is that if there's something you want you should go out and make it happen. I know that sounds so cliche but for the past year I've really applied that to my life and it's amazing how much of a difference it makes. Just don't depend on other people for everything and it's amazing how things work out! 

Q: Do you have any other social media sites?
A: Yes of course! I have instagram and Facebook under Modern Little Victories and my twitter handle is @saravee_

Q: How long have you been blogging?
A:  I started my blog at the end of January 2016 so I'm coming up on my one year anniversary of my blog in just a few days. 

Q: Have you ever had writer’s block? If so, what did you do to overcome it?
A:  Oh I have absolutely had writer's block! I lost all inspiration for a couple weeks back in September and it was awful. I had so much I wanted to create but nothing was coming to me. So I buckled down and wrote a blog post about not being able to write or focus and it actually really helped. ( Here's the post http://modernlittlevictories.com/2016/10/10/the-absence-of-inspiration/) So long story short: to get over my writer's block I take a few steps back and clear my head and then I write whatever I need to to get over it. 

Q:What do you like to do beside blogging?
A: I'm a complete bookworm so I'm pretty much always reading. I also really love yoga! I also knit, crochet, and sew. 

Q: What’s your favorite thing to cook, to bake? 
A: Oh gosh my favorite thing to cook. That's a hard one. I might just be vague and say pasta. Mostly because it's my favorite thing to eat. Anything that has pasta is my favorite. And if we are going with baking I really love making cupcakes! 

Q: Where was the favorite book?
A: My favorite book changes all the time but the entire Harry Potter series is a tried and true classic that I adore. I love a lot of really great books but those always seem to be right at the top of my list. 

Q: If you could be on any TV show, what show would you choose?
A: Man, I'm such a TV nerd this is actually a really hard choice! If we are going with shows that are currently airing I'll pick Game of Thrones. Oh or maybe Doctor Who!

Valentine's Day 2017 Recap (Back story)

Hey guys,

Something that I haven't mentioned on here yet is that I'm in a new relationship. I haven't been on here much as my dad recently just moved out of state and I wanted to spend time with him before he moved as he moved across the country.  Want to hear the back story of my new relationship? If you do, keep on reading. 

We met online and I know that people have their own opinions about online dating, but I would have never have met him if I wasn't on the website. We talked on the site for a day and then started texting. Since that night, we have texted every single day. The unfortunate thing is that he does live about 2 hours away. We then decided to meet the afternoon of my dad's surprise birthday party (guess it was a surprise day for me as well meeting a guy that I have never seen before in person). My dad and him got along very well. After my dad's party, we went on a movie/dinner date. We saw  Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and ate at Logan's. He had the Fried Cheese and Bacon Burger and I had the normal, Chicken Tender; we both had fries of course. After dinner, he brought me home but not without giving me a kiss.

That next weekend was actually my dad's going away party, and my dad invited him to it before Could even tell him about it. The party was on Saturday, but he came in that Friday and we had Burger King (my choice and my favorite fast food place). He had a burger (I forgot the name), and wanna guess what I had? Chicken Fries and French Fries, with ketchup of course. Then the next day was my dad's party.  We hung out there as I was the one with the camera. We hung out after that at my place,playing rummy with my dad and younger brother. That night I also asked him to be my Valentine's, and then only a few hours later on February 4th, 2017, we became boyfriend and girlfriend.  

We decided to exchange gifts the Saturday before Valentine's Day as he does live about 2 hours away. He gave me my gifts which was a pink stuffed hippo and some chocolate covered Oreo's (pictured below). I made him a jar with Hershey kisses that read "Kisses when I'm not around", and I also wrote him some "Open When..." envelopes. I also had a small dinner for later that night, which wasn't huge at all. All there was were those little grillers (hot dogs) with cheese in the middle, Macaroni  and cheese, and deviled eggs. That night we made popcorn and watched "The Switch", and then a few episodes of "The New Girl". 

Just like every other psst weekend, we are hanging this weekend and I can't wait to see him again. Like I said above, we have texted every day since the day we started texting aka first day we met online.  Shortly after that, we have talked every day sometimes more than once. He makes me extremely happy!!  :)
